On the Toretsk direction, enemy forward units have managed to make significant advances from New York to the Druzhba area, both in the city of Toretsk itself and to the south of it.
However, unlike in the Kramatorsk direction, the Ukrainian Armed Forces occasionally counterattack the advancing tactical groups of the enemy. This was reported by military analyst and coordinator of the "Information Resistance" group, Konstantin Mashovets, on his Telegram channel reported.
"Their advance, both in the urban area of Toretsk and in the vicinity of Nelipovka, comes at a significant cost to them. So much so that in the assault (actually 'penal') units of the 132nd separate motorized rifle brigade, there are sporadic 'mutinies' that are quite harshly suppressed by local command," said Konstantin Mashovets.
According to the expert, the main objective of the occupiers in the Toretsk direction is currently the area of Toretsk, informally known as "Zabalka," which the enemy is attacking from three sides.
Konstantin Mashovets added that the Ukrainian Armed Forces have managed to completely block the enemy's advance from the side of Zheleznoe and are periodically able to push back the assault groups of the Russian Federation between Zabalka and Nelipovka, east of the Krivoy Torets River, which significantly complicates the situation for the occupiers in Toretsk near Dzerzhinsky Street, where they are vulnerable on the flanks and risk encirclement at any opportune moment.
