A 21-year-old local man was charged by Sinelnykiv investigators for stealing a car from a service station.
The crime occurred on December 9 around 7:00 PM in the city of Synelnykove. According to the authorities from the Synelnykove District Police Department, at the beginning of December, the victim left his "DAEWOO Lanos" at a local service station for maintenance. The suspect was employed at this station. Waiting until everyone had left, the suspect unlawfully took possession of the vehicle. However, shortly after leaving the station, he was involved in a traffic accident.

The car thief turned out to be a previously convicted 21-year-old resident of the village of Vasylkivka in the Synelnykove district.
Based on the collected evidence, the investigator, in agreement with the Synelnykove District Prosecutor's Office, informed the man of his suspicion under Part 1 of Article 289 (unlawful seizure of a vehicle) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
