A man in Kryvyi Rih has been charged with murdering an acquaintance after allegedly striking her in the head with a file.

The crime occurred on December 13 in a private residence in the Kryvyi Rih district. Officers from Police Station No. 3 of the Kryvyi Rih District Police Department discovered that a conflict had arisen between a 54-year-old woman and a 36-year-old suspect. During the argument, the assailant grabbed a file and struck the victim in the head, resulting in her death.

Criminal police operatives have identified the individual involved in the crime, who was apprehended in accordance with Article 208 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine.

The weapon used in the crime has been seized.

Currently, investigators, in coordination with the Kryvyi Rih Northern District Prosecutor's Office, have informed the assailant of his suspicion under Part 1 of Article 115 (intentional homicide) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The decision regarding the choice of preventive measures is being considered.
