An investigation has been launched into the misappropriation of budget funds for water supply network repairs in Dnipro.
According to the investigation, officials from the Department and the municipal enterprise of the Dnipro City Council, in collaboration with a company, devised a scheme to embezzle funds from the local budget. Over a period of two years, the officials entered into contracts with the company for emergency services, reconstruction of water supply and drainage networks, as well as ongoing repairs of stormwater collectors in the city of Dnipro, totaling more than 12 million UAH.

The investigation is examining whether all work has been completed in full. This was reported by the press service of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Prosecutor's Office.
Law enforcement officers have conducted over 60 authorized searches at the workplaces, residences, and vehicles of the individuals involved. Documents, rough notes, seals and stamps, mobile phones, computer equipment, flash drives, and cash have been seized.
Currently, prosecutors have appointed a series of examinations to determine the damages to the local budget. The pre-trial investigation is ongoing.
