Law enforcement in Zaporizhzhia has apprehended a local ammunition dealer.

A resident of the regional center was selling ammunition and grenades online. He shipped his "merchandise" to buyers via postal services or delivered it in person during meetings. Law enforcement documented the man's illegal activities and apprehended him during another in-person transaction. The offender faces up to seven years in prison for his actions.

This was reported by the press service of the Main Directorate of the National Police in Zaporizhzhia region.

Law enforcement received operational information indicating that a 34-year-old resident may be involved in the illegal sale of ammunition.

On December 6, the individual was caught red-handed right after selling 32 grenades for a grenade launcher. He received 12,000 hryvnias for the goods.

On the same day, police conducted searches at the man's addresses and in his vehicle, seizing bank cards, a flash drive, a laptop, a personal computer, and over 25,000 hryvnias, likely obtained through illegal activities.

The suspect has now been notified of the charges against him. The legal qualification is part 1 of article 263 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
