Hiding from serving a court sentence, a criminal was apprehended by law enforcement in Zaporizhzhia.
On June 24, 2023, near a medical facility in the Zavodskyi district, a 37-year-old man struck a woman in the face and pushed her, causing her to fall to the ground. The assailant then stole her mobile phone and headphones before fleeing the scene.

The press service of the Main Directorate of the National Police in the Zaporizhzhia region reported this.
In March 2024, the court found the man guilty of a crime under part 4 of Article 186 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine and sentenced him to 7 years in prison. To evade punishment, the accused went into hiding from law enforcement.
The police announced him as wanted and initiated operational search measures. On November 7, the perpetrator was detained based on Article 207 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine and placed in a detention center.
