The Russian occupation forces are planning to simultaneously advance their strike tactical groups from the direction of Chasiv Yar and through the Toretsk agglomeration to reach the close approaches to Konstantinovka from the north-eastern and south-eastern directions.

This was reported by military analyst and coordinator of the "Information Resistance" group, Konstantin Mashovets, on his Telegram channel here.

According to the expert, the enemy is currently unable to conduct offensive operations in both of these directions with the necessary scale and pace.

"Essentially, both of their offensive tactical groups have become 'bogged down' in battles for quite strong defensive positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The northern group is stuck near Chasiv Yar, while the southern group is caught up in the Toretsk agglomeration. Moreover, it is clearly having very inconsistent success," – stated Konstantin Mashovets.

The military expert noted that Russian command could have anticipated that their attempts to break through in the Toretsk direction simultaneously with the offensive in the Pokrovsk and Kurakhove directions would be unsuccessful, yet they decided to proceed and got stuck.

"A very similar situation is gradually and 'smoothly' developing in the operational zone of the enemy's Southern Operational Command, which has 'gotten itself into' battles for Chasiv Yar... It is costly, minimally effective, and, most importantly - LONG," - added Konstantin Mashovets.
