A 41-year-old man in Dnipro has been charged after throwing a grenade and setting his neighbor's house on fire.

On January 13th, around 5:00 PM, the police received a report of a fire in a building located in the Novokodatskyi district of the city. Upon arrival, law enforcement discovered that a conflict had erupted between neighbors during a joint gathering at a private residence. Following the argument, the suspect left briefly and returned with a smoke grenade. After breaking a window, the suspect threw the smoke grenade into the premises. This led to a fire breaking out inside, but fortunately, there were no injuries reported.

On January 14, officers from Police Department No. 1 of the Dnipro District Police Department No. 1 apprehended a 41-year-old man in accordance with Article 208 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine.

Investigators have informed the man of his suspicion of committing a criminal offense under Part 4 of Article 296 (hooliganism) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. Pre-trial investigation is ongoing.
