Treason: Two former police officers from the Zaporizhzhia region have been sentenced to 15 years in prison.
Under the public prosecution of the Zaporizhzhia Regional Prosecutor's Office, two former police officers have been found guilty of treason (Part 2, Article 111 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine). They have been sentenced to 15 years in prison, with the confiscation of their property, and have also been stripped of their special ranks of senior lieutenant and captain of police.

In April 2022, an employee of the law enforcement agency from Chernihivka in the Berdyansk district switched sides and became the head of investigations at one of the departments of the occupying police. In her role, she organized the activities of the "assigned" unit and carried out criminal orders and assignments.
Her colleague, a staff member of the Berdyansk District Police Department, betrayed his oath and voluntarily collaborated with the occupying authorities, joining the ranks of the so-called "people's militia of the town of Chernihivka."
