Ukraine will continue to provide humanitarian assistance to Palestinians, according to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine has expressed support for the agreement between Israel and Hamas. The department noted that it will continue to provide humanitarian assistance to the Palestinians.

“Ukraine welcomes the achievement of a fundamental agreement between the State of Israel and Hamas regarding stabilization in the Gaza Strip and the release of hostages. We hope that the parties will be able to practically achieve a sustainable resolution to the armed conflict, which has resulted in irreparable human losses and significant destruction of social and humanitarian infrastructure,” the ministry stated, urging the parties to strictly adhere to their commitments.

They also acknowledged the mediation efforts of the United States, the State of Qatar, and Egypt, which facilitated the agreement on the release of hostages and the development of mutually acceptable approaches for future stabilization phases in the Gaza Strip.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs emphasized that ensuring unhindered access to the Gaza Strip for relevant UN bodies and international humanitarian organizations remains critically important for providing urgent assistance to the Palestinians.

“Ukraine is ready to continue assisting those in need, including supplying food to civilians in crisis situations. Ukraine will continue to provide humanitarian support to the Palestinians and help efforts to overcome the humanitarian catastrophe,” the statement reads.

It is noted that the Middle East peace process must be restored through the unconditional implementation of relevant UN Security Council resolutions by the parties, as well as other previously reached international agreements.
