German company Infineon has reduced its quarterly revenue by 2.4 times.

German Infineon Technologies AG, one of the largest semiconductor manufacturers in Europe, reported a 2.4 times decrease in net profit for the first quarter of the 2025 financial year.

This was reported by "Interfax-Ukraine," referencing the press release from the company.

According to the company, net profit for October to December 2024 amounted to 246 million euros compared to 587 million euros for the same period last year.

It is noted that revenue decreased by 8% to 3.42 billion euros.

Analysts surveyed by Vara Research had, on average, anticipated a net profit of 252 million euros with revenue of 3.23 billion euros.

The segment result, a performance indicator tracked by analysts, fell by 31% to 573 million euros, with the profitability for this metric dropping to 16.7% from 22.4%.

In the 2025 financial year, the company forecasts revenue dynamics ranging from maintaining the previous level to a slight increase (previously, a small decrease was expected). Profitability for the segment result is still anticipated to be in the range of 15–19% (mid-to-high teens).
