A serious accident occurred at one of Kyiv's substations, according to DTEK.

A malfunction occurred at one of the substations in Kyiv, leaving a portion of the buildings in the Desnyanskyi district of the capital (Troieshchyna) without electricity.

This was reported by the press service of DTEK "Kyiv Electric Networks".

"We are addressing a serious malfunction at one of the substations in Kyiv. A number of buildings in the Desnyanskyi district of the capital (Troieshchyna) are currently without power," the statement said.

According to energy specialists, they are currently assessing the scope of work, after which residents will be informed about the estimated time for the restoration of electricity supply.

"We are doing everything possible to restore power as quickly as we can," DTEK added.
