Serbia has received a notice from Azerbaijan regarding the suspension of gas supplies. This concerns 1.7 million cubic meters of gas.

President of Serbia Aleksandar Vučić announced this, as reported by the public broadcaster RTS.

“We have received information from our Azerbaijani brothers and friends that due to force majeure and the issues they are facing, starting today, we can no longer count on the 1.7 million cubic meters of gas that arrive to us daily,” Vučić stated.

It is currently unclear when gas supplies will resume. Belgrade hopes that the issue will be resolved within one to two months. The president noted that Serbia will now begin to “much more seriously” utilize its gas reserves.
