Зеленский пригласил западных лидеров «от Вашингтона до Токио» собраться 24 февраля в Киеве.

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky, speaking at the main session of the Munich Conference, proposed to hold a summit in Kyiv, as reported by BBC.

"We are already working towards gathering all European leaders and key partners who defend our security in Kyiv and online on February 24, the third anniversary of Russia's full-scale invasion," Zelensky stated. "From Spain to Finland. From the UK to Poland. From Washington to Tokyo."

"This meeting should provide a clear vision of our next steps regarding the world, security guarantees, and the future of our collective policy," he added.

Zelensky had previously expressed readiness for negotiations on a peaceful resolution with Russia. However, he emphasized that Ukraine and its allies, led by Washington, must first develop a joint plan that respects the interests of Kyiv and Europe in these discussions.

These considerations from Zelensky align with the concerns of several European politicians about Europe being excluded from the negotiation process between the US and Russia.

"I do not believe in security guarantees without America; they will be simply weak. But America will not provide guarantees if Europe's own guarantees are not strong," Zelensky stated in his speech.

Moreover, he emphasized that he would not exclude Ukraine's NATO membership from the agenda.

He reminded that Russia's substantial profits from the sale of energy resources make this war possible.

"Russia is not preparing for dialogue; it directs a hundred or more 'Shaheds' almost daily. There are also regular missile attacks, and aerial strikes are increasing. Furthermore, this year, Russia plans to create 15 new divisions. Putin can afford this because energy resource prices are quite high," Zelensky declared.

Background. Recall that in his speech, Zelensky called for the establishment of European Armed Forces. According to him, Europe must become self-sufficient and unite its strength with Ukraine.
