A bus traveling from Kyiv to Chișinău was involved in an accident in Moldova, resulting in injuries.

At around five in the morning on February 15, the bus "Kyiv-Chisinau" was involved in a traffic accident in Moldova.

The Moldovan police reports this incident.

The accident occurred on the R-14 highway in the Florești district near the village of Chiripceni.

According to preliminary information, the bus driver, who was operating the Kyiv–Chisinau route and transporting 68 passengers, lost control of the vehicle on the slippery road. The bus overturned and crashed into a tree.

As a result of the accident, 16 individuals sustained injuries of varying severity and were hospitalized in the Florești and Soroca hospitals. The 35-year-old driver was not under the influence of alcohol.

The remaining passengers did not suffer serious injuries and were safely accommodated in the local police inspectorate. Currently, the police are investigating the causes of the accident.
