The U.S. Congress has released the findings of a two-year investigation into the origins of the COVID-19 pandemic.

COVID-19 was created in a Chinese laboratory with financial support from the USA. It has also been definitively stated that the virus itself is artificial.

An American subcommittee on the coronavirus pandemic made this claim.

The report from the investigation concludes that the virus spread as a result of a leak from the Chinese city of Wuhan, where a leading SARS research facility has been practicing "gain-of-function research on viruses under inadequate biosafety levels" for years.

The report notes that researchers at the Wuhan Institute of Virology were infected with a COVID-like virus as early as the fall of 2019, months before COVID-19 began to spread widely in Wuhan.

COVID-19 possesses unique characteristics that do not occur in nature, and all infection cases trace back to a single source, whereas previous pandemics had multiple variants of spread, according to the authors of the document.

In a new report, the subcommittee criticized the joint measures taken to mitigate the effects of COVID-19—social distancing and mask mandates. It is claimed that "prolonged lockdowns caused immeasurable harm not only to the American economy but also to the mental and physical health of Americans, particularly negatively impacting young citizens."
