Pidhunyi fell just short of the podium at the Biathlon World Cup.

In Oberhof, Germany, the men's sprint event took place, where the experienced Dmytro Pidruchnyi secured fourth place.

The leader of the Ukrainian team executed two clean shooting rounds and ultimately finished just 28.8 seconds behind the race leader.

Interestingly, Pidruchnyi surpassed Norwegian Martin Uldal by only 0.6 seconds. It is worth noting that athletes earn 8000 euros in prize money for fourth place, while fifth place earns 7000 euros.

The second best among the Ukrainians was Vitalii Mandzyn, who finished 17th with one miss in the first shooting round.

Taras Lesiuk also missed only once but recorded the 34th result. However, Anton Dudchenko struggled with his shooting, missing three times and ending up in 78th place.

All three podium spots were claimed by the French, led by Quentin Fillon Maillet.
